CAREDIPLOMA.COM was founded in 2021 by a group of adult care support workers to bring together all the knowledge that care workers need to perform their role competently and confidently.
This was in response to reports from care workers that they do not receive enough information or support from their tutors, assessors and employers. Research suggests that this is a sector-wide issue and is the result of a lack of resources, primarily time and money. This does not mean that all assessors/trainers/employers do not provide sufficient support or training but there is a significant lack of investment in the health and social care sector by the UK government that leads to staff training becoming a lower priority than front-line support.
The knowledge on this website is conveniently linked to recognised care sector qualifications to support care workers that are studying for their Care Certificate, Level 2 Diploma in Care and Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.
The aim is to support the care workforce in their studies to enable positive outcomes for their careers and the individuals that they support.
The project began with the nine mandatory units for the Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas (also known as NVQs) but we intend to add more in the future.
Our todo list includes:
- Additional six units of the Care Certificate
- Level 2/3 Optional Units
- Pearson’s BTEC in Health and Social Care
- Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care
